What will this turn out to be?

Here’s an image of Jupiter, recently taken, where a previously unseen black spot shows up (near the top – though it’s the south pole).
What will this turn out to be? Apparently it was just seen a few hours ago. It could be some unusual weather phenomena – Jupiter certainly has plenty of those.

Let the “My god, it’s full of stars,” “All these worlds are yours”, “Something wonderful” quotes begin.
